This female American Kestrel was found in a parking lot in Pocatello, ID unable to fly. We think she was likely entangled in something (string, wire, etc.), which resulted in the loss of part of her right wing. When she arrived at Teton Raptor Center, her injury had healed. It is possible that her mate continued to feed her after she sustained her injury, allowing it to heal by the time she was found.
