This Bald Eagle was found unable to fly by a back country skier in Grand Teton National Park. TRC staff rescued the eagle on snow shoes. The immature male eagle had a large bruise and swelling on the spine caused by trauma. We don't know how he was hurt but when he arrived at TRC, he was unable to stand or use his legs. He also had a blood lead level of 7 mcg/dl, below the level considered clinical.
