This female Swainson's Hawk was found on a road in Pocatello, Idaho unable to fly. She was suffering from head trauma, abdominal bruising, a low blood-lead level, and airsacculitis. Airsacculitis is a relatively common avian respiratory infection that can make it hard for inflicted birds to breathe. Since she was admitted at Teton Raptor Center, she has come a long way with her rehabilitation.
