Emily grew up just north of Chicago and spent summers exploring Colorado and Wyoming, cultivating a love for nature and wildlife. She graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota with a B.A. in Biology and Environmental Studies. She gained experience researching raptors and other wildlife while working for the Teton Raptor Center research crew, U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Montana, Arizona, Wyoming and California. While a member of the TRC research team, Emily assisted in the Great Grey Owl and Flammulated Owl research projects. Other agency projects include studies of Mexican and California Spotted Owls, Northern Goshawks and Bald Eagles. Emily is excited to be sharing her passion for raptors back in Jackson where it all began.
