Lauren grew up in Atlanta,GA where she pursued her love of animals by spending as much time as possible working with vets or volunteering with the Georgia Aquarium. When she went off to law school in Saint Paul, MN she studied environmental and animal law, eager to apply her education toward protecting wildlife, and served as an officer of the Hamline Law Animal Legal Defense Fund. It was during her years studying down the road from The Raptor Center in Minnesota that her interest in raptors took flight. Anytime she visited Wyoming for vacations she made sure to see a Teton Raptor Center program to keep learning about these fascinating birds. When Lauren finally moved to Jackson Hole in the spring of 2017 she immediately started volunteering with the Teton Raptor Center and has been with them ever since. In the summer of 2019 she began working for TRC part time as an education assistant and volunteer liaison and loves every moment of it.
