This mature Swainson's Hawk was transferred to us by the finders after they found it in a field, unable to fly. The bird has no severe injuries, but does have fresh bruising and swelling on the left wrist. The bird will rest here for a bit, and soon as the trauma to the wrist subsides, we plan to perform a flight assessment.
Update: This hawk is in a mew, flying around and perching well. The bird was flown on our creance line, but had asymmetrical flight, so we plan to let the hawk rest more before flying again.
