This hawk was admitted to TRC after being hit by a car. His wing must have gotten hit because when he was admitted, his entire left wing had flipped and torqued the wrong way. He was immediately anesthetized and had his wing flipped back in the correct direction. Thankfully there were no broken bones but his wing was wrapped since it was probably very sore and uncomfortable.
Update: This bird has moved out of the ICU and is progressing nicely. His flight is excellent but he droops his injured wing when perched after many flights. This indicates that his wing is probably still a little sore. He is on a course of anti-inflammatory medications to help with pain and swelling.
