This female Great Horned was brought to us from Evanston, WY by a local veterinarian technician. She was found near the road, therefore her injuries are presumed to be the results of a car strike. Upon evaluation, the bird was diagnosed with and treated for trauma to the head and the left eye.
Update: This patient is now in a mew, using all wall perches! She is still receiving medicated eyedrops in the left eye, but is expected to regain full vision. She is a strong flyer, a feisty bird, and eager to be released as soon as that eye heals up.
