This Valentine's Day owl was brought to us from Idaho Falls with general body and head trauma, as well as damage to her left eye from a presumed car strike. The rufus brown feathers on a Barn Owl's chest and belly along with the speckles are indicative of a female, whereas males tend to have a completely white chest and belly. Upon intake we treated her with pain medication, fluids, and oxygen. Our treatment plan involves plan involves cage rest, eyedrops, and monitoring of behavior.
Diagnosis: Trauma to the body, head and Left Eye.
