This Rough-legged Hawk was admitted to Teton Raptor Center after what staff suspect to be the victim of a car strike. As a result, this bird suffers a great deal of head and eye trauma. "RRN" volunteer Anne Hare, a member of our Raptor Rescue Network, generously transported this injured raptor to our center so it could receive the care it needed! The hawk is on a series of medicated eye drops, pain medications, and fluids to keep her comfortable.
Update: This bird has ended her treatment of antibiotics and eye drops as the trauma in her left eye has cleared up and she is visually aware. Through her flight conditioning she has increased her strength and endurance and should be nearing release!
