As an organization committed to advancing raptor conservation, Teton Raptor Center recognizes that each of us has an important role to play in evaluating and modifying our daily activities to ensure they support a vibrant and healthy natural world.

Teton Raptor Center is committed to operating in a way that minimizes environmental impact and maximizes practices that support human and bird co-existence on a healthy planet.

In July 2022, Teton Raptor Center achieved Business Emerald Sustainability Tier (BEST) certification. The BEST Program was created to provide an opportunity and platform for those Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR) Business Leaders in Jackson Hole that want to elevate their sustainability practices to higher levels of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic vitality. The standards in the BEST program are comparable to the world’s most rigorous and comprehensive environmental, community, and economic sustainability criteria.

With the guidance of the Riverwind Foundation, Teton Raptor Center completed a comprehensive evaluation and documentation of all current practices and policies and we developed a Sustainability Management Plan that will guide our operations and our efforts to be a community leader in resource conservation.

We are proud to be BEST-certified and look forward to being a community resource and model for these best practices.
