During this engaging experience, you’ll learn about the vital role raptors play in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, our ongoing research projects, and the treatments provided in our clinic for injured, ill, and orphaned raptors and corvids. This program is perfect for bird enthusiasts of all ages but is best suited for children five and older.

Discover the world of raptors and their significance! Join us behind the scenes to understand the training and care involved in managing a diverse team of avian ambassadors. Delve into the science of training and welfare, witnessing daily enrichment and training routines in the Roost, where our education birds reside. While the birds free fly, there is no physical contact with the public. This program is for ages 6+. Due to concerns about Avian Influenza, we provide shoe covers upon entry to the Roost. Please avoid contact with poultry or waterfowl 72 hours before the program to prevent potential virus transfer.
Join us on the third Saturday of each month for an hour-long kid and family-friendly program where you will meet live birds and participate in a fun, educational activity. These programs are designed for families with kids between 4 and 12 years of age. Younger kids may need assistance. Programs will have a new theme each month. The cost includes supplies for the activity.
Join us for a monthly educational series at 6 pm on the first Wednesday, featuring expert-led deep dives into various avian topics. After the presentation, explore hands-on learning in TRC’s new Learning Lab. Topics include research insights, avian rehabilitation, backyard conservation, migration, and raptor ID. Geared towards adults, this free lecture-style program takes place in TRC’s restored Hardeman Barn. Not suitable for kids under 5.

Live raptors just a few feet away or close up on a virtual platform is an exciting experience students never forget! These classroom visits are designed to allow students to experience a learning adventure that is tailored to their age, understanding, and current learning objectives. Discussion topics may include traits of raptors, adaptations of diurnal and nocturnal raptors, fables and stories about raptors, local birds of prey, predator and prey relationships in a food chain, conservation trends and much more.
TRC offers private raptor encounters on our campus or at your location. We also welcome outside groups to host their events in one of our beautiful spaces. Learn more and find an option that works for your group.

Celebrate your bird-day with Teton Raptor Center! Enjoy a 2-hour experience meeting a bird and participating in a bird-themed activity of your choice. We provide tables, chairs, a bird-themed photo booth, indoor/outdoor space, and bird-themed lawn games (season dependent). Celebrations are available year-round except Sundays and they can be booked 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Call our office to book your special day!
