Springtime Signifies Our Search for Volunteers!
It’s that time of year again! As spring arrives, migrant birds are starting to arrive back in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Some of our resident raptors, like Great Horned Owls and Bald Eagles, are already incubating eggs. In fact, Research Field Biologist Adrian Rouse recently spotted a Bald Eagle that seemed to be incubating on an Osprey platform!
For our research team, that is a reminder that Osprey season is rapidly approaching, and we are in need of volunteers to help us monitor nesting platforms throughout the valley! There will be a short informative training session in TRC’s Learning Lab on April 17 at noon. If you are unable to attend but still interested in helping, we may be able to meet with you separately.
Please email our Research Biologist, Hilary Turner, if you are interested in this monthly commitment throughout the summer.
