Congratulations to Georgia and Josh!
We’re so excited to announce two huge accomplishments by past and present TRC research crew members!
Last year, TRC Conservation Intern Georgia Coleman started her independent project documenting a new behavior she observed while reviewing photos from one of our Ferruginous Hawk nest cameras. She culminated this work recently in an article published in the Journal of Raptor Research, entitled: Observation of a Ferruginous Hawk (Buteo regalis) Eating Her Own Egg.
We’re also proud of TRC Graduate Research Associate Josh Layfield for his successful defense of his Master’s project! Josh worked with Dr. Merkle, Dr. Chalfoun, our TRC team to understand how Golden Eagles use roadways in Wyoming during the winter to maximize mitigation efficiency.
Congratulations Georgia and Josh!
