UPCOMING AUCTION: Commissioner’s Big Game Licenses
Teton Raptor Center promotes the use of lead-free ammunition and fishing tackle through the Sporting Lead-Free initiative, which works to encourage conservation ethics in our sporting communities.
By promoting education and voluntarily using lead-free products for hunting and fishing, we are helping curb lead poisoning in many wildlife species, like Golden Eagles. Our team has been working across the U.S. to create a lead-free community, promote the conservation ethics of hunters and anglers, and reduce barriers to switching ammunition. If you, or someone you know, wants to have the hunt of a lifetime this year in Wyoming and support the Sporting Lead-Free initiative, we have two great opportunities for you!
Sporting Lead-Free has been gifted two 2025 Commissioner’s Big Game Licenses from Commissioners Brokaw and Ladwig to support our initiative. The tags can be purchased and used for any open hunting zone in Wyoming for your choice of one elk, deer, or antelope. We will hold two phone auctions by phone, one for each tag, on March 17th and April 10th from 4:00 to 5:30 PM (MST). Bids will be accepted via calls or texts to 307-690-2450. Opening bid will be $25,000 with minimum bid increases of $500. Proceeds from this action will benefit adult and youth hunts, hunting and angling educational programming, game meat donation programs, kids tackle giveaways, eagles, and other wildlife.
